How to get the Criminal Record Check(CRC)

 

Step1: visit http://ag.ca.gov/fingerprints

Step2: Click Criminal record-Request your own on the left side

Step3: Click the Form BCll8016RR, pdf

Step4: Fill out the Form(BCII16RR) and Print out

l  Type of Application : Record Review 

l  (Job title)Reason for Application : a TaLK scholar(to Teach English in South Korea)

Stetp5: TaKe your completed form to UPS or any Live Scan agency for fingerprinting services.

1)   UPS

 

¡ Applicants must present a valid photo identification to the Live Scan Operator. Expired identification cards will not be accepted.

¡ Live scan fees are required for the State level criminal checks.

¡ You can’t be serviced for fingerprinting in a certain UPS. Please check out

if fingerprinting services are available.

 

 

 

2)Live Scan Agency

 

 

¡ To find the locations nearest to you see Applicant Live Scan Sites (http://ag.ca.gov/fingerprints/security.php)

¡ Applicants must present a valid photo identification to the Live Scan Operator. Expired identification cards will not be accepted.

¡ Rolling fees vary from location to location and cover only the operator's cost for rolling the fingerprint images.

Step 1: To notarize your CRC by California Notary Public

 

Step 2: You submit your CRC to the Secretary of State

 

Step 3:

1) In person: go to the Secretary of State

   - no appointment is necessary.  Customers are served on a "first come first serve" basis.

   - compete your process within a day

 

2) Trough Mail

- a letter identifying the country of destination must accompany the documents( The country : the Republic of Korea)

- a self-addressed envelop

- Processing fee :$20(check or money order)

- It may take at least 1~2 weeks or so

Processing fee: There is a $20.00 processing fee (per signature authenticated) and a $6.00 special handling fee (per public official for documents submitted over the counter). Payments for documents submitted:

- by mail to Sacramento can be made by check or money order;

- dropped off in person in Sacramento can be made by check, money order, cash, or credit card (Visa or MasterCard)

- Checks or money orders should be made payable to the Secretary of State.
